Hoeschen does it again!

Brian Okonek summit photo.

Josh Hoeschen called in around 6 PM from the summit. I'm not sure what time they left camp this morning, but 6 PM on the top is SWEET!

Russell Hunter is at 14 K right now. I just got off the phone with him and he said he'll either continue down toward base camp through the night or take more of a rest and head down tomorrow night.

Summit day on Denali is one of the hardest endeavors there is. To tack on a 10,000 foot descent the following day is very hard work. So, we'll either see Russell tomorrow or the next day. And of course everything is weather dependent.

Congrats to all who made the summit this week! It must be surreal to stand on that peak - I hope to do it someday! Now we're anxiously waiting on more news from Peter Anderson's 6/13 team! I'm sure they're doing great - go Lou!!
