Torkelson's Team reaches the Top

AMS guide, Tom Torkelson leading our Norwegian Team just called in from the summit.

The team has worked hard today and is having a nice time on the top this evening.

They will take it slow and steady on the way down to high camp tonight and will have hot drinks and soup when they get back to camp.

We will expect to hear from them tomorrow, after a well earned and good nights rest.

How come the team lead by Falley and Wes didn't attempt the summit?

There are many reasons why a team chooses to take a rest day. It is a totally normal strategy to do so.

The team members will have lots of stories to tell about the climb when they return and I am sure they can answer your question better than we can, because there are so many factors that go into decision making up there!

Rest assured, they are doing well.
