Denali West Buttress 5/4, Opp

AMS Guide Nate Opp leading our 5/4 Denali, West Buttress Expedition checked in today.  It has snowed in the range for a few days, and they waited at 7,800' for better weather to move upwards.  Things are looking good for them...yesterday, the team moved to the 11,000' camp a had to break trail through the deep snow the whole way there.  Today the planned to back carry to pick up their cached food, fuel and extra gear.

The move up to 11,000' went great in spite of the fact they had to break trail.  All are in good spirits and doing well and feeling strong.

Previous AMS Climbers moving 11,000 camp (the May 4 team had a lot more snow)

An AMS team traveling in a stormy, but acceptable day, on Denali.
AMS Climbers building snow walls to protect against any winds. Nice job setting up the tent too!
