Denali West Buttress, Postle 6/1

AMS guide Mark Postle leading the June 1 expedition team with Chelsea Bomba and Chris Welch have called in from 7,800' camp, also known as the base of ski hill. They arrived yesterday and took a walk up for about 1,000' to check out conditions and stretch the legs and lungs. The conditions are not apt for moving camp, so they are staying at 7,800' camp for tonight until weather and visibility improves. Postle reports that his team is doing well and they travelled efficiently from the airstrip/basecamp yesterday to camp. Snow accumulation is expected tonight and tomorrow, but everyone is cozy and enjoying hot drinks in the cook tent.
