Weather Delay in Talkeetna

The AMS 6/8: 12 Day Mountaineering Course and the AMS 6/9: Denali West Buttress climbers are learning the importance of weather and patience in mountaineering.

Course Instructors Nick D'Alessio, Karina Amortegui and Ariel Svetlik-McCarthy have been busy teaching courses.  The students will be ready to practice their new skills.  Guides Elliot Gaddy and Jimmy Voorhis have been busy reviewing skills with their Denali West Buttress Team.  This group is ready to climb!

Our teams have been joining forces for some great classes classes. Today Jimmy Voorhis taught geology and yesterday Nick D'Allessio taught avalanche to all AMS climbers and students awaiting thier flights into the Alaska Range.
