AMS Denali West Buttress: Hoeschen: Team Kentucky Derby at 14,200'

AMS lead Guide Josh Hoeschen phoned in from 14,200' camp on Denali's West Buttress Route.

The AMS West Buttress, Denali expedtion is doing very well and are have been greeted into camp by a couple of our guides, Michael Gardener and Jimmy Voorhis, who are camped at 14,200', on a personal climbing trip.

The Kentucky Derby Team will rest and acclimatize at 14,200' for a few days while practicing technical rope skills, learning more about geology and glaciology and high altitue physiology. They will be making carries higher, and working their way upwards.
