Congratulations to the May 21 Expedition, led by Tyler Thompson, Madelyn Ferdock, and Will Plovanic. Yesterday, Climbers Austin, Guy, and Klaudia, with guide Tyler, reached the summit of Denali (McKinley), 20,310 feet (6,190 meters), the highest point in North America, at 6:00 PM local time.
While not all team members reached the summit, everyone played an important role and contributed to the expedition, making it a great climb. We are proud of this team for their excellent teamwork from the start.
They are descending to the 14,200' camp today to rest a bit before taking advantage of cooler nighttime temps to continue to Basecamp.
Depending on the weather, we could see them back in Talkeetna as soon as tomorrow, June 7th!
